Lexus has officially revealed the eighth-generation ES sedan, presenting a significant evolution of its longstanding luxury model. Focused on the theme of “Experience Elegant & Electrified Sedan,” the redesign enhances comfort, performance, and sustainability, while seamlessly blending elegance with state-of-the-art technology.
The new ES introduces hybrid and electric variants, new digital systems, and debut technologies aimed at comfort, connectivity, and safety.

This generation of the ES is tailored to the expectations of a modern audience. It features a broader powertrain offering that includes the sixth-generation ES 300h hybrid with front- or all-wheel drive via the E-FOUR system, and two fully electric models: the 224 hp ES 350e and the 343 hp, AWD-equipped ES 500e with Lexus’ DIRECT4 technology.

These variants are based on the updated GA-K platform, offering improved performance and interior space, including a longer wheelbase and increased cabin legroom.
Design-wise, the new ES carries the Clean x Tech philosophy, which brings together minimalism and functionality with an emotional design character.

The exterior maintains elegant proportions with a dynamic edge, featuring signature “L” motif lighting and streamlined body contours that nod to the car’s electrified nature.
Inside, Lexus has taken a minimalist but refined approach with features like Bamboo Layering lighting effects and precisely embossed synthetic leather for a high-tech, modern look. Comfort has been improved through updated seating designs, enhanced soundproofing, and luxury options such as Ottoman rear seating.

The ES also introduces the brand’s new Hidden Tech buttons—subtle, intuitive controls that blend into the dashboard when not in use, only becoming visible when the car is on.
The multimedia experience has been overhauled with a 14-inch central display running the Lexus Connect system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Integrated with the Lexus Link+ app, the system supports remote features and over-the-air updates, and in EVs, it assists with route planning by factoring in real-time charging station availability.

Safety has taken a major leap with the Lexus Safety System +4. The suite includes updated adaptive cruise control that uses map data to adjust speed for upcoming road conditions, a more advanced Pre-Collision System that now detects e-scooter riders, and the debut of the Driver Monitor system.

This tech checks the driver’s alertness and can initiate an emergency stop if it detects fatigue or medical distress. Additional features include a broader Blind Spot Monitor, Lane Departure Alert with expanded object detection, and Forward Cross Traffic Alert—making this ES one of the most safety-forward sedans Lexus has produced.
The global debut took place at Auto Shanghai, with further regional details, including pricing for the Polish market, expected in September. Ordering will open in October following showroom presentations. With this comprehensive update, the new Lexus ES reasserts its position in the luxury sedan segment, blending traditional refinement with next-gen electrification and digital sophistication.
