The Lexus NX has been named one of Consumer Reports’ Top 10 Recommended Cars for 2025, earning top honors in the highly competitive Luxury Compact SUV category.
Both the NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid were specifically highlighted for their balance of performance, comfort, and efficiency.
Consumer Reports, one of the most trusted consumer organizations in the U.S., evaluated over 260 models this year, factoring in testing results, safety features, equipment levels, and predicted reliability.

The Lexus NX stood out for its exceptional craftsmanship, intuitive tech, and responsive handling, paired with low fuel consumption and strong environmental credentials.

“Lexus offers a lot in this compact SUV,” noted Consumer Reports. “The NX is well-equipped, offers a refined ride, and boasts elegant interior details with comfortable seating and an intuitive multimedia system.”
The NX 350h delivers 243 HP with front- or E-FOUR all-wheel drive and averages 5.7 L/100 km in the WLTP mixed cycle. The NX 450h+, a 309 HP plug-in hybrid, features an 18.1 kWh battery enabling up to 98 km of all-electric range. Even with the battery depleted, performance remains consistent, ensuring responsive acceleration and confident overtaking.
With its strong focus on quality, efficiency, and driving dynamics, the Lexus NX has earned its place among the most recommended vehicles for American drivers in 2025.
