Carbuyer’s editor-in-chief, Paul Barker, praised the Lexus NX 450h+ for its high build quality and comfort on long journeys. As Lexus‘ first plug-in hybrid, it leverages the brand’s 20 years of experience with electrified vehicles.
Its hybrid system combines a 2.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with front and rear electric motors, seamlessly transitioning to hybrid mode when the battery depletes. Even with a low battery, the car maintains impressive fuel efficiency and performance, delivering the same acceleration and responsiveness as when fully charged, setting it apart in the plug-in hybrid market.
