Lexus is reinforcing its position as a technological leader in electrification within the Toyota Group, introducing groundbreaking innovations to the European market.
The brand has unveiled the new Lexus RZ in Brussels, the first model to feature steer-by-wire steering and the Interactive Manual Drive system, which electronically mimics manual gear shifts.

Over the next 12 months, Lexus will debut three new electric models, further solidifying its commitment to advanced EV technology.
Lexus continues to see record-breaking sales, achieving its best-ever result in Europe in 2024 with 88,000 units sold—an impressive 20% increase year-over-year.

The brand also secured a 2.5% market share in the region, driven by the success of the LBX crossover and a surge in plug-in hybrid and EV sales. Globally, Lexus sold over 850,000 vehicles, marking a 3.3% growth.

The new Lexus RZ introduces several key upgrades, including the intelligent DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system, an improved lithium-ion battery with a 77 kWh capacity, and a 22 kW onboard charger for faster charging.

The most powerful variant, the RZ 550e F SPORT, will debut the Interactive Manual Drive, allowing drivers to simulate an eight-speed gearbox using steering wheel paddles.
Set to launch in Europe in autumn 2025, the updated RZ represents Lexus‘ dedication to blending cutting-edge technology with an engaging driving experience, pushing the boundaries of electric mobility.
