The Lexus LBX has been named the best compact hybrid SUV, adding another accolade to its growing list of achievements. This marks yet another distinction for the smallest model in the Lexus lineup.

The new Lexus LBX has garnered a warm reception in the European market, receiving rave reviews from journalists and industry experts alike. After being declared the best car of the year by “What Car?” magazine, the LBX has achieved another prestigious award. “Lexus has never had such a small car in its range. We are big fans of its hybrid drive. The interior feels like a car from a higher segment, is superbly crafted, and well-equipped, as you would expect from Lexus. The brand’s reputation for powertrains suggests that this will be a reliable model. Its compact size, automatic gearbox, and average fuel consumption of 4.5 l/100 km make it an ideal city car, and the LBX can be had with 4×4 drive as an option,” said Iain Robertson, editor-in-chief and publisher of EcoCar magazine.

The initial months of the Lexus LBX on the market have solidified its status as a groundbreaking model. Customers have praised the blend of compact dimensions, Lexus’ hallmark high-quality craftsmanship, premium materials, a chassis that delivers driving pleasure, and a dependable and economical hybrid drive. The LBX also distinguishes itself in the segment with extensive personalization options and a variety of equipment versions that range from dynamic and sporty to stylish and elegant.

The LBX has also made a notable debut in the Polish market. Since March, in less than four months, 946 units have been registered in Poland. This remarkable performance has placed it at the top of the B-SUV Premium segment, outpacing competitors who had a full six months to sell their models in 2024. In June alone, 412 LBXs were registered, exceeding the combined sales of all competing models.
