Shanghai, China – Leapmotor International, a Stellantis-led joint venture with Leapmotor, has shipped its first batch of electric vehicles (EVs) from Shanghai to European ports, marking a significant milestone in their partnership. The shipment includes Leapmotor’s C10 SUVs and T03 cars, both equipped with cutting-edge EV technology to deliver exceptional performance, efficiency, and range. Leapmotor ranks as the fourth largest new energy vehicle (NEV) startup in China by sales as of June 2024.

“The shipment of Leapmotor C10 and T03 vehicles to Europe this month is a landmark moment in the partnership between Stellantis and Leapmotor,” said Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares. “This demonstrates our commitment to providing innovative, affordable, and sustainable mobility solutions to our customers.

Leapmotor Founder, Chairman, and CEO Zhu Jiangming highlighted the company’s success in the competitive Chinese EV market, with over 400,000 EVs sold since its inception. “Since the very beginning, the C10 and T03 models are designed to meet the high standards of global customers,” Zhu stated. “We are confident that the collaboration between Stellantis and Leapmotor will drive significant growth for both companies.”

Leveraging Stellantis’ distribution channels, Leapmotor International plans to increase its European sales points to 500 by 2026, up from 200 at the end of 2024, ensuring a high level of service for customers. This month’s shipment is the first step in a long-term collaboration aimed at transforming the landscape of electric mobility in Europe and beyond. There are plans to introduce at least one new model each year over the next three years.

About the Leapmotor C10 and T03

The Leapmotor C10, the company’s first global product, is built according to global design and safety standards. Based on Leapmotor’s self-developed LEAP3.0 technology architecture, the C10 features advanced intelligent electric technology, including a central integrated electronic and electrical architecture, cell-to-chassis (CTC) technology, and a flagship intelligent cockpit. This family-centric D-segment vehicle boasts a 420 km WLTP range and meets the 5-star E-NCAP rating standard.
