Lancia has won AUTOBEST’s inaugural “A Star is Back” award, recognizing the Italian automaker’s successful return to the European premium market. Launched in 2023, Lancia’s ambitious “Renaissance” plan includes a new brand identity, electrified models, and the revival of its motorsport legacy.
Lancia’s revival started with the launch of the Concept Lancia Pu+Ra HPE and a new logo. Its first new model, the Lancia Ypsilon, was released in hybrid and electric versions this year and has received positive public and media acclaim.

In 2025, Lancia will re-enter the motorsports arena with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, paying homage to its rally history, and will revive its renowned “HF Integrale” label on future models.
The new Lancia Gamma, scheduled for a 2026 release, will further solidify the brand’s comeback with a focus on Italian craftsmanship and sustainability.
AUTOBEST’s 31-member jury from across Europe chose Lancia for this award, recognizing its robust roadmap and resurgence as a premium brand. The award will be formally presented at the 24th AUTOBEST Awards in Zurich in 2025.
