Lancia has officially returned to Spain with the unveiling of the New Lancia Ypsilon. This marks a significant milestone in Lancia’s Renaissance Plan, as the brand re-establishes its presence in one of its historically significant markets. The first units of the New Lancia Ypsilon will be delivered to customers starting October 2024.
In 2024, Lancia plans to open its first 10 showrooms and 19 after-sales service points in major Spanish cities. This expansion will continue in 2025 with an additional 10 showrooms. The New Lancia Ypsilon, available in both hybrid and electric versions, offers a comprehensive range with three trim levels catering to different customer needs.

Positioned as a leader in the premium hatchback B-segment, the New Lancia Ypsilon features an iconic lighting signature, parking assist, a dual 10.25” display, and Level 2 autonomous driving as standard. Additionally, Free2move Charge supports the Ypsilon with a complete ecosystem for customized charging and energy management, providing accessible and competitive solutions for Lancia customers.
Lancia also introduced the New Lancia Ypsilon HF, a high-performance variant, and the Lancia Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, which will mark the brand’s return to rallying in Italy in 2025.
Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano emphasized the significance of the brand’s return to Spain, stating, “Lancia is back in this country with a robust distribution network, supported by a dedicated team of certified salespeople. The enthusiasm in Spain surrounding the brand is a great starting point. The New Lancia Ypsilon is the first of three new cars in the brand’s strategic plan and marks Lancia’s return to Europe.”
Olivier Quilichini, Stellantis Premium Cluster Director for Spain and Portugal, added, “The Lancia Ypsilon is now ready to be placed on the market with a timeless design and cutting-edge technologies. In the years to come, we will know more about iconic cars, such as Lancia Gamma and Lancia Delta. Lancia is back!”
