Lancia has partnered with Michelin as the official tire supplier for the Trofeo Lancia, marking the brand’s highly anticipated return to rally racing.

The competition, part of the Italian Absolute Rally Championship (CIAR), will feature the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, which has already secured 80 preorders across Europe in just three months.

Michelin will equip the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF with high-performance tires from the MICHELIN Pilot Sport range, including two options for dry asphalt and one for wet conditions, all in 19/63-17 dimensions.

These next-generation tires promise optimal stability, handling, and responsiveness, helping drivers maximize performance on the track.

To tackle dry asphalt, competitors can choose between medium and hard versions of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport Pro Rally, an advanced tire that adapts to different surfaces and reaches peak performance quickly. In wet conditions, the MICHELIN Pilot Sport A MW1 ensures exceptional grip and safety, even in heavy rain.

With a €360,000 prize fund, Trofeo Lancia is one of the highest-paying national competitions, offering young drivers under 35 the chance to secure a spot in the official Lancia Corse HF team for the next FIA ERC season.

Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano expressed excitement about rekindling the historic partnership with Michelin, stating: “Lancia and Michelin have shaped rally history, and we are thrilled to reignite this collaboration driven by performance and innovation.
