Lancia and 1522 Unite to Protect: Campaign with Actress Cristiana Capotondi

Lancia partners with 1522 for *Together to Protect*, an awareness campaign featuring Cristiana Capotondi, supporting victims of violence through advocacy and action.

Lancia has launched Together to Protect, a new awareness campaign supporting the Italian Prime Minister’s Office’s 1522 national helpline, a free, 24/7, anonymous service assisting victims of violence and stalking.

Featuring actress Cristiana Capotondi, the initiative includes a powerful short film and striking 3D displays across major Italian cities, reinforcing Lancia’s commitment to women’s protection and empowerment.

Presented at Milan’s historic Villa Necchi Campiglio, the campaign was unveiled during a talk featuring Elisa Ercoli, President of Differenza Donna, Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano, pianist Roberta Di Mario, and Capotondi, who sent a video message from her latest film set in Rome. The event underscored the importance of tangible action in supporting women’s rights.

The Together to Protect campaign builds on Lancia’s ongoing advocacy, following its impactful Punch campaign in 2022. Directed by Ago Panini, the new video draws a powerful parallel between a pink airbag’s slow-motion deployment and the protective role of the 1522 helpline, emphasizing the importance of safety and support.

The campaign’s message will be displayed across nine high-traffic 3D digital screens in Milan and Rome from March 7 to 15, lighting up key locations such as Navigli and Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan and Via Piave and Lungotevere Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome.

Beyond the digital initiative, Lancia and Differenza Donna will collaborate on a series of training sessions at company headquarters and Casa Lancia showrooms. These stylish, welcoming spaces will serve as platforms to discuss gender-based violence, ensuring that awareness leads to action.

“Lancia has been a brand loved by women for decades, and we want to be an ally in this fight,” says Charles Fuster, Lancia’s Marketing & Communication Director. “Awareness isn’t enough—real change requires action, responsibility, and support.” Elisa Ercoli highlights the critical role of the 1522 helpline, stressing that operators provide life-changing guidance to victims.

Capotondi, a long-time advocate, concludes: “After Punch, I’m proud to stand with Lancia again. Progress is still needed, but Together to Protect proves that by uniting efforts, we can make a real difference and ensure no woman feels alone.”
