Luca Engstler has been named an official Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory driver and will compete in the 2025 DTM season with TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT, piloting a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2.
After an impressive 2024 campaign as part of Lamborghini’s Young Driver Programme—where he secured two DTM victories—the 24-year-old German now steps up to factory driver status, marking a major milestone in his GT racing career.

Engstler initially made his mark in touring car racing, winning six TCR titles across Asia, the Middle East, Malaysia, and Germany before transitioning to GT3 competition in 2022. Last season, he claimed victories at Oschersleben and Hockenheim with Grasser Racing Team and also achieved a podium finish at the Norisring.
Beyond DTM, Engstler made a one-off appearance in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Sprint Cup, securing a Gold Cup win and an overall pole position at Hockenheim. He also competed in the FIA GT World Cup in Macau, though a crash in qualifying ended his weekend prematurely.
For 2025, Engstler returns to DTM, where Lamborghini secured its first-ever title last year with Mirko Bortolotti and SSR Performance. He will race alongside fellow factory driver Jordan Pepper, who stepped in at Sachsenring last season as an injury replacement.
The DTM season begins in April at Oschersleben and continues across eight rounds, including stops at Lausitzring, Zandvoort, Norisring, Nürburgring, Sachsenring, Red Bull Ring, and Hockenheim.
Engstler expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, calling it a dream come true and crediting Lamborghini’s Young Driver Programme and the support of GRT for his progression.
Lamborghini’s Head of Motorsport, Maurizio Leschiutta, praised Engstler’s development, highlighting his technical growth and strong performances as key reasons for his promotion.
With Lamborghini backing and a strong team behind him, Engstler’s 2025 DTM campaign promises to be a defining chapter in his career.
