The 2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line, an all-electric three-row SUV, wins a 2024 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems award for its impressive powertrain and performance.

The all-electric 2024 Kia EV9 GT-Line has been named one of the 2024 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems, marking its second major award in its first year on sale. This follows its earlier recognition as a Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX winner.

Kia America’s COO, Steven Center, expressed pride in the achievement, noting that being recognized for both its powertrain and interior in the same year demonstrates the EV9’s complete package as a world-class all-electric three-row SUV.

Wards editors praised the EV9 GT-Line for its impressive powertrain, highlighting its range retention, power delivery, and smooth driving experience.

David Zoia, a Wards editor, remarked on the vehicle’s performance, noting it’s a joy to drive even in normal mode, particularly for a three-row SUV.

The 2024 EV9 GT-Line is powered by a 99.8-kWh battery and a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system, producing 379 hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque.

Kia America, based in Irvine, California, is known for its quality vehicles and sustainability efforts, having been named one of TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies in 2024.

The company sells a wide range of vehicles through over 775 U.S. dealers, with several models, including the EV9, assembled in the U.S.
