Gaydon, UK – JLR has announced robust sales growth in the first quarter of FY25, reflecting ongoing strong demand for its vehicles. The company reported wholesale volumes of 97,755 units, marking a 5% increase compared to the same period last year. Retail sales also saw a significant rise, reaching 111,180 units, up 9% year-on-year.
The mix of high-demand models, including the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender, now constitutes 68% of total wholesale volumes and 59% of total retail sales.

This shift aligns with JLR’s Reimagine strategy, focusing on high-value models. The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport experienced notable growth in wholesales, increasing by 22% and 46% respectively, thanks to expanded production capacity at Solihull’s new body shop.
Regional retail sales also showed positive trends, with North America seeing a 43% increase, the UK up by 14%, and Europe experiencing a 4% rise compared to the previous year. However, both wholesale and retail volumes saw a decline compared to the last quarter, by 11% and 3% respectively, reflecting typical cyclical fluctuations.
The new Range Rover Electric continues to attract significant interest, with over 39,000 clients on the waiting list. Additionally, JLR recently unveiled the Defender OCTA, inviting a select group of prospective clients to exclusive events to experience the new model.
JLR will release full financial results for Q1 FY25 at the end of July or early August. Further volume details are available on the Investor Relations section of the JLR website.
