JLR is launching an initiative to improve driver awareness of ADAS systems after a survey revealed many drivers are unclear about these critical safety technologies and their maintenance.

UK carmaker JLR is launching a new initiative to boost driver understanding of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) after a survey revealed that 41% of drivers are unclear about these critical technologies.

The survey also found many drivers are unaware that key ADAS features, such as autonomous emergency braking, can malfunction if sensors are obscured by dirt, with 36% of respondents having experienced this issue.
