UK carmaker JLR is launching a new initiative to boost driver understanding of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) after a survey revealed that 41% of drivers are unclear about these critical technologies.
The survey also found many drivers are unaware that key ADAS features, such as autonomous emergency braking, can malfunction if sensors are obscured by dirt, with 36% of respondents having experienced this issue.

In collaboration with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), JLR is updating driver guidebooks and rolling out public guidance to address this knowledge gap.
JLR’s next-generation electric vehicles will feature the NVIDIA DRIVE™ platform, offering advanced safety and AI-driven monitoring systems, further emphasizing the importance of driver awareness and system maintenance.
