JLR is hiring 150 maintenance technicians in the West Midlands to support its shift toward electrification as part of its Reimagine strategy.
Fifty roles are available at the Solihull plant, where technicians will maintain advanced equipment for the upcoming Range Rover Electric, set to launch later this year. Solihull will also produce Jaguar’s first all-electric four-door GT.
The remaining 100 positions are at the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EMPC) in Wolverhampton, where technicians will work on battery packs and Electric Drive Units for JLR’s next-generation EVs.

These roles are vital to JLR’s UK manufacturing transformation, which supports both electric and hybrid vehicle production.
Backed by a £3 billion annual investment, JLR is also upskilling its workforce through its Future Skills Programme, with over 20,000 employees trained in electrification and digital skills.

Applicants need a relevant Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship and maintenance engineering experience. Salaries start from £44,000, with shift premiums and overtime opportunities.
The recruitment supports JLR’s goal to launch pure electric versions of all its brands by 2030 and reach net zero across its supply chain, products, and operations by 2039.
