Jeep has achieved a major milestone in the European market, registering over 100,700 vehicles by the end of September 2024, marking a 3.5% year-on-year increase and capturing a 1% market share. This growth underscores Jeep’s ability to adapt to diverse markets, with significant contributions from the popularity of the fully electric Jeep Avenger.
“We are thrilled to announce that Jeep sales in Europe have surpassed 100,000 vehicles,” said Eric Laforge, Head of Jeep in Enlarged Europe. “The remarkable reception of the Jeep Avenger, our first fully electric SUV, is a testament to our innovative spirit and the distinct appeal of our vehicles.
This success reinforces our commitment to sustainability and the promise of ‘Freedom of Choice,’ which will grow even stronger with the upcoming Avenger 4xe version.”

Growth Across Key European Markets
Jeep’s impressive performance is widespread across Europe, with nearly 50% of sales coming from markets outside Italy, Jeep’s home base. France saw a 61% increase in registrations, totaling nearly 9,000 units, and an increase in market share to 0.6%. The UK market performed even better, registering over 6,000 units, a staggering 155% increase, and raising its market share to 0.3%. Meanwhile, the Netherlands saw an 81% boost in sales, lifting its market share to 0.7%.
The Jeep Avenger: Leading the Charge
A key driver of Jeep’s success is the Jeep Avenger, which has become one of the best-selling 100% electric B-SUVs in Europe. The Avenger ranks third in key markets like France and the Netherlands and is the best-selling SUV in Italy across all powertrains in 2024. In Italy’s passenger car market overall, it stands as the third best-selling model.
The Avenger’s compact size, range of powertrains, and “Freedom of Choice” approach have made it a hit with both individual customers and large corporate clients. Companies such as Ernst & Young, Stedin, and Orange have purchased the Avenger for their fleets, and Italian government agencies, including the Fire Brigade and Guardia di Finanza, have ordered over 1,200 units.
Jeep’s electrification push continues to grow, with the Avenger available in a 100% electric version, an e-Hybrid option, and soon, a hybrid 4xe all-wheel-drive variant, ensuring versatility for every type of terrain.
Jeep’s Vision for the Future
The success of the Jeep Avenger is part of a broader electrification strategy, as Jeep continues to transition its lineup to meet its “Zero Emission Freedom” vision. With plans for all Jeep models to offer electrified variants by 2025, the brand is firmly positioned to continue leading in both off-road capability and sustainable mobility.
