Six years after the initial launch of the Model 3 Performance, Tesla is introducing the revamped Model 3 Performance, a cutting-edge variant that harnesses the latest advancements in manufacturing and engineering to deliver the ultimate high-performance daily driver.
Building on the enhancements of the latest Model 3, this new iteration is designed to provide the most driver-centric experience yet.
Performance-Tuned Chassis The new Model 3 Performance integrates the recent Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and comfort advancements of the new Model 3 with custom chassis components that enhance performance and stiffness while reducing weight.

Key features include adaptive dampers with hollow damper piston rods, a multi-sectioned stabilizer bar, ultra-high strength steel springs, and stiffer suspension top mounts. These upgrades create a more capable and performance-focused chassis, optimizing the effectiveness of the new technologies.
Our Most Powerful Model 3 Yet The latest generation performance drive unit, Performance 4DU, delivers significantly more torque, power, and efficiency. Compared to its predecessor, the Performance 4DU provides up to 22% more continuous power, 32% more peak power, and 16% more peak torque. This results in more immediate and sustained acceleration, particularly noticeable when exiting corners.
Despite these performance gains, energy consumption is reduced by approximately 2% compared to the previous Model 3 Performance. The increased performance is supported by forged and staggered 20” wheels equipped with Tesla-specific Pirelli P ZERO 4 performance tires. This setup not only enhances traction and comfort but also contributes to a longer range due to lower rolling resistance.
The precision of Tesla’s electric motors allows for millisecond adjustments in front and rear motor torque output, managed by Tesla’s in-house Vehicle Dynamics Controller (VDC). The new Model 3 Performance features a rear-biased torque split, maximizing traction and enhancing corner exit performance.
Enhanced braking performance is achieved with standard track-ready brake pads, offering more immediate deceleration and higher thermal limits.
All-New Adaptive Damping For the first time in a Model 3, the new Model 3 Performance includes an Adaptive Damping system that adjusts in real-time to driver and road inputs, optimizing ride quality and handling.
Controlled via Tesla’s in-house software, this system can be updated through OTA software updates, ensuring adaptability and continuous improvement.
Three preset modes tailor the ride and handling characteristics:
- Standard: Offers a relaxed and comfortable ride, with significant absorption improvement.
- Sport: Enhances damping control for quicker settling times and improved steering response.
- Track: Maximizes body control and response for high performance on closed circuits, automatically engaging in Track Mode.
Track Mode V3 Track Mode V3 integrates motor controls, suspension controls, powertrain cooling, and Tesla’s VDC into a unified system. This results in a more predictable driving experience, honoring driver inputs more accurately.
Recalibrated handling balance, stability assist, regen braking, and ABS tuning deliver consistent and predictable performance across various track conditions. The Track Mode V3 UI has also been updated to provide more vehicle data and control at the driver’s fingertips.
Functional, Performance-Focused Design The new Model 3 Performance boasts significant design changes compared to the base models, including redesigned front and rear fascias, a spoiler, front splitter, and rear diffuser.
These elements enhance aerodynamic performance, reducing drag by up to 5%, decreasing lift by 36%, and improving front-to-rear lift balance by 55%.
Seats & Interior Inside, the Model 3 Performance features new Sport seats with enhanced bolstering and a deeper, more engaging seating position. These seats offer better lateral support during dynamic driving while maintaining comfort for daily use.
12-way power-adjustable seats include heating and ventilation for added comfort. The interior also benefits from the improved NVH and cabin comfort features found in the new Model 3 RWD and LR AWD trims, including comprehensive NVH treatment, 360˚ Acoustic Glass, and improved body baffles and sealing.
