Introducing the New ID.7 Models: Dynamic GTX and ID.7 Pro S with Up to 709 km WLTP Range

Volkswagen is expanding its ID.7 lineup with the introduction of new models, including the ID.7 GTX – a fastback boasting 250 kW (340 PS) output and electric all-wheel drive.

This new model made its world debut recently, and pre-sales will commence on June 6 in Germany, starting at 63,155 euros. Simultaneously, pre-sales will also begin for the ID.7 GTX Tourer (from 63,955 euros), ID.7 Pro S (from 58,985 euros), and ID.7 Tourer Pro S (from 59,785 euros), which were first showcased in March.

Both the ID.7 GTX and the ID.7 GTX Tourer feature a 250-kW electric all-wheel drive, while the ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S, which are rear-wheel drive, offer a maximum output of 210 kW (286 PS). All these new ID.7 versions come equipped with an 86-kWh battery.

The all-electric Volkswagen ID.7 GTX is currently the most powerful electric vehicle from Volkswagen, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. Its 250 kW power output delivers an exhilarating driving experience, made possible by the electric dual-motor all-wheel drive system with motors on both the front and rear axles.

The ID.7 GTX offers a WLTP range of up to 595 km and supports fast charging at up to 200 kW, allowing the 86-kWh battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes.

The ID.7 GTX stands out with its unique design elements and enhanced standard features. It sports new 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels, IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, and illuminated Volkswagen logos. The GTX-specific light signature in the front air intakes adds to its distinctive look.

Inside, the ID.7 GTX features heated seats with red contrasting stitching and GTX lettering, a multifunction steering wheel with a red center panel, and 30-color ambient lighting. Other standard features include wireless App-Connect for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an augmented reality head-up display, the IDA voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT, a two-zone automatic air conditioner, Keyless Access, and an anti-theft alarm system. An optional Park Assist Pro feature allows parking control via smartphone.

The ID.7 GTX Tourer, which also goes on pre-sale on June 6, mirrors the GTX fastback in terms of technology but offers more luggage space. The Tourer can hold up to 605 liters of luggage with five passengers onboard, compared to 532 liters in the fastback.

Both GTX models share the same maximum roof load of 75 kg. The ID.7 GTX Tourer accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and has a WLTP range of up to 584 km, making it the most powerful Volkswagen estate ever built.

The ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S models have upgraded from a 77-kWh battery to an 86-kWh battery (gross capacity: 91 kWh), significantly extending their range.

The ID.7 Tourer Pro S now has a WLTP range of up to 690 km, while the ID.7 Pro S fastback can reach up to 709 km. These new Pro S versions offer a range comparable to combustion engine models. In terms of equipment, they follow the Pro versions, ensuring a consistent experience across the ID.7 lineup.
