The 2025 Mustang GTD sets a new standard for Ford’s iconic muscle car, boasting 815 horsepower, 664 pound-feet of torque, and a top speed of 202 mph, making it the most powerful street-legal Mustang ever.
With features like active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and an advanced inboard-rear suspension with semi-active dampers, it’s designed to achieve a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap time.

Chief Program Engineer Greg Goodall highlighted the GTD’s 5.2-liter supercharged V8, which offers more horsepower per liter than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The engine benefits from a dry-sump oil system, increasing reliability during hard cornering and raising the maximum speed to 7,650 rpm.
Upgrades like a titanium exhaust, revised intake, and a smaller supercharger pulley enhance its performance.
The GTD’s Drag Reduction System optimizes aerodynamics by adjusting the rear wing and front flaps to balance speed and downforce, ensuring stability and grip. Goodall expressed confidence in the Mustang GTD’s cutting-edge engineering, saying they are eager to deliver on their Nürburgring promise.
