The Mercedes-AMG GT family has welcomed its newest member at the Goodwood Festival of Speed: the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+. Boasting an impressive power output of 450 kW (612 hp) from its 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, this vehicle promises an exhilarating driving experience. Enhanced aerodynamics and improved cooling systems further elevate its performance, particularly noticeable on racetracks where agility and speed are paramount.
This latest model maintains the everyday usability that customers expect from the AMG GT series. With a spacious interior and optional 2+2 seating, it balances performance with practicality. High-tech features like the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, rear-axle steering, and active aerodynamics contribute to its sharp driving profile. The fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive ensures optimal power distribution, enhancing road handling.

Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, stated, “The new AMG GT 63 PRO is our sportiest model yet. It’s perfect for those who want to enjoy their AMG GT on both the road and the racetrack. We’ve boosted the engine’s performance and enhanced aerodynamics with new features like the front apron and additional air deflectors. This model combines high performance with everyday usability, making it a standout in the AMG GT family.”
The 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine’s upgrade results in 27 hp more than the AMG GT 63 and a torque increase to 850 Nm, achieved through advanced engine control. This power boost allows the GT 63 PRO to accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 317 km/h.
To support these enhancements, the cooling system has been significantly upgraded. The vehicle now features two additional radiators in the front wheel arches and active cooling elements for the drivetrain, ensuring optimal performance under intense conditions. Improved air guide vanes and revised brake cover plates help maintain brake durability by directing more air to the brakes.
The car’s aerodynamics have also been fine-tuned. The new front apron with carbon fibre air deflectors, an active aerodynamic profile in the underbody, and a fixed rear wing work together to reduce aerodynamic lift and increase downforce, enhancing stability and steering precision.
The standard AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system, with its large 420-millimetre brake discs, ensures reliable stopping power and durability. Additionally, the 21-inch forged wheels in Himalaya grey matt, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, offer both performance and aesthetic appeal. The option for Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres at no extra cost further tailors the vehicle for track enthusiasts.
Externally, the AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package underscores the vehicle’s connection to motorsport, featuring carbon fibre elements like the front splitter, side trim strips, diffuser, and rear wing. Inside, the AMG Performance seats and steering wheel provide a cockpit experience that matches the car’s sporty exterior.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is a compelling blend of high performance and everyday usability, making it a versatile choice for sports car enthusiasts.
