Hyundai Motor Group has revealed a next-generation hybrid powertrain that blends cutting-edge electrification technologies with its existing powertrain expertise to boost performance, fuel efficiency, and driving refinement.
The new hybrid system features a dual-motor transmission—comprising a P1 motor for starting and energy generation, and a P2 motor for propulsion and regenerative braking.
This setup allows for seamless energy transfer and smooth shifting, reducing vibration and noise for a more refined drive.

Hyundai’s upgraded 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with this system delivers up to 45% better fuel efficiency and 19% more power compared to equivalent internal combustion engines.

A new 1.6-litre hybrid unit will also be offered, giving customers more choice across vehicle sizes from compact to luxury models. The system debuts in the all-new Hyundai Palisade hybrid, offering 334 PS and 14.1 km/l fuel economy.

Electrification-focused features like e-AWD, Stay Mode, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Smart Regenerative Braking, and Hierarchical Predictive Control further enhance performance and convenience.

Hyundai plans to roll out this system across its lineup, including future Genesis models, with tailored integration based on vehicle class and market needs.
