Hyundai Dominates 2025 U.S. News Hybrid & Electric Car Awards
Hyundai has claimed top honors in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hybrid & Electric Cars awards, earning more wins than any other brand.
The IONIQ 5 was named Best Electric SUV, the IONIQ 6 took Best Electric Car, and the Tucson Hybrid secured Best Hybrid SUV. More than 100 models were assessed across ten categories based on EPA data, pricing, and expert reviews.

“This recognition reinforces Hyundai’s commitment to eco-conscious innovation,” said Ricky Lao, director of product planning at Hyundai Motor North America. “Our focus on advanced electrified powertrains and thoughtful design is central to our mission of ‘Progress for Humanity.’”
U.S. News praised Hyundai’s lineup for blending efficiency with standout design and features. “The IONIQ 5 and 6 excel in range and charging while offering strong dynamics and unique style,” said Alex Kwanten, managing editor of Autos. “The Tucson Hybrid delivers rare versatility, comfort, and efficiency.”
Hyundai’s U.S. footprint includes major manufacturing and R&D hubs, generating $20.1 billion in annual economic impact and supporting 190,000 jobs.
