Hyundai Motor Group leads the 2025 IIHS Safety Awards with 12 top honors, showcasing its commitment to advanced safety, innovation, and industry-leading crash protection.

Hyundai Motor Group has dominated the 2025 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) and TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) awards, securing 12 honors, the most of any automaker.

This achievement represents 25% of the total awards issued this year, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to safety and innovation.

Hyundai Motor earned five TSP+ awards for the IONIQ 5, KONA, TUCSON, SANTA FE (built after November 2024), and IONIQ 6.

Genesis also received four TSP+ awards for the GV60, Electrified GV70, GV70 (built after April 2024), and GV80, with an additional TSP award for the G90. Kia’s EV9 and Telluride SUVs also earned TSP+ recognition.

The IIHS raised its 2025 safety criteria, emphasizing rear-seat safety, advanced seat belt technology, and tougher crash tests, making top ratings harder to achieve.

Despite these stricter standards, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis excelled across multiple categories, proving their dedication to superior safety engineering.
