Hyundai Motor Group is expanding its global connected car capabilities by deploying its proprietary HCloud platform within Equinix data centers across Asia, the U.S., and Europe.
This move supports more than 10 million connected car service (CCS) subscribers and aims to enhance service quality, improve app responsiveness, and reduce latency for drivers worldwide.
HCloud, developed to meet the growing demands of connected and autonomous vehicles, enables real-time data processing and scalable connectivity.

Through Equinix’s International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) and Equinix Fabric®, Hyundai is implementing a hybrid multicloud architecture that seamlessly connects HCloud with major cloud providers like AWS. This setup accelerates the Group’s global CCS rollout while ensuring stable, high-performance service delivery.
The deployment spans strategic data centers in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Frankfurt, chosen for their global connectivity, cloud access, and operational excellence.
With 95% of vehicles expected to be connected by 2030, Hyundai is future-proofing its infrastructure to support software-defined vehicles and advanced in-car services, including personalized driving experiences.
“Equinix enables us to deliver high-quality connected car services with global consistency and performance,” said Youngjoo Han, VP of Hyundai Motor Group. “This partnership strengthens our position as a global leader in connected mobility.”
Chris Jang, Managing Director at Equinix Korea, added, “A hybrid multicloud strategy is essential for automotive innovation. Equinix’s interconnected ecosystem helps companies like Hyundai scale their digital infrastructure securely and efficiently.”
With sights set on reaching 20 million CCS users by 2026, Hyundai is leveraging this collaboration to lay the groundwork for smarter, more connected, and safer mobility solutions.
