Hyundai Motor America reported total September sales of 62,491 units, marking a 9% decrease compared to September 2023. Despite the dip, the company set sales records for Santa Fe HEV (+87%), Tucson HEV (+52%), and Palisade (+9%). Hybrid vehicle sales saw a notable 36% jump.
Randy Parker, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, attributed the year-over-year decline to fewer selling days in September but emphasized the strong demand for hybrid and electric models.
He highlighted the brand’s record-setting Q3 retail sales, driven by the popularity of the IONIQ 5 and hybrid models, which led to a total of 210,971 units sold, a 5% increase over Q3 2023.
