Hyundai Motor Company unveiled its first high-performance electric vehicle, the IONIQ 5 N, during the Gran Turismo World Series 2024 Finals in Amsterdam, held from December 7 to 8. The event marked the digital debut of the vehicle, ahead of its arrival in the racing simulator Gran Turismo 7 in January 2025.
The IONIQ 5 N, a landmark in Hyundai’s electrification strategy, features a 478 kW (650 hp) output and 770 Nm torque in N Grin Boost mode, powered by advanced four-wheel drive and an 84 kWh high-performance battery.

Designed for esports and motorsport enthusiasts, it was showcased in the Nations Cup Qualifying Time Trial and offered as a special in-game reward through the Viewers Gift campaign.
“IONIQ 5 N is a strong beginning for Hyundai’s collaboration with Gran Turismo,” said Joon Park, Vice President of N Brand Management Group. “We’re excited to bring more high-performance models into the virtual world for players to experience.”
Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of Gran Turismo, highlighted Hyundai’s motorsport achievements in 2024 and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations. Fans can unlock the IONIQ 5 N in-game after the January update of Gran Turismo 7.
