Hyundai IONIQ 5 has achieved a Guinness World Record for the greatest altitude change by an electric car, covering a remarkable elevation change of 5,802 meters during a 4,900 km journey across India.
Starting from Umling La in Ladakh, the world’s highest drivable point at 5,799 m above sea level, the journey concluded in Kuttanad, Kerala, situated three meters below sea level.

The feat, accomplished in 14 days by the Evo India team, showcased the IONIQ 5’s advanced engineering and resilience as it tackled extreme terrains and climates, from freezing Himalayan passes to humid coastal regions.
