Hyundai Motor Company’s President and Global COO, José Muñoz, emphasized the importance of this effort, stating, “All of us at Hyundai and our dealer partners are mobilizing resources to help end childhood cancer. We’re very proud that in the 26 years of Hyundai Hope On Wheels, we’ve helped more than 25,000 children and their families in the U.S. beat cancer.”

Hyundai Hope On Wheels began in 1998 as a local initiative by a group of New England Hyundai dealers and has since evolved into one of the largest pediatric cancer charities in the U.S.

Over its 26-year history, the organization has funded more than 1,300 research studies across over 175 institutions, with cumulative donations now exceeding $250 million.

The Hyundai Impact Grant offers a one-year funding boost for various hospital programs.

These ceremonies are symbolic events where children impacted by cancer, alongside doctors and researchers, leave their painted handprints on a Hyundai vehicle, representing the collective fight against pediatric cancer.

Hyundai Hope On Wheels will also celebrate its 26th anniversary in Washington, D.C., where it will unveil its vision for the future, continuing its mission to create a world without childhood cancer.
