Hyundai Motor America is making EV charging easier and more seamless with two new features now available for select electric vehicles: in-app-charging and plug and charge.
Designed to simplify the public charging process, these upgrades are integrated into the MyHyundai with Bluelink app, which already offers remote commands, vehicle insights, and digital key functionality.
The in-app-charging feature allows users to locate, initiate, and pay for charging sessions across major U.S. networks like IONNA, Tesla Supercharger, ChargePoint, and EVgo—all from within the app.

It also supports dynamic EV trip planning and direct charger routing to the car’s infotainment system. Drivers can store a credit card using Hyundai Pay, removing the need for separate apps or physical cards.

Meanwhile, plug and charge enables compatible Hyundai EVs to start charging automatically upon connection, with payment processed instantly—no phones or cards required. This feature currently works on IONNA, Tesla Supercharger, and select ChargePoint stations, once it’s activated in the app.
Both technologies are available now for the 2025 IONIQ 5, 2026 IONIQ 9, and all future IONIQ and Hyundai EV models. More vehicles and networks will be added over time, expanding access to Hyundai’s streamlined, tech-forward charging ecosystem.
