“Keeping children safe on the road requires more than just advanced vehicle technology—it takes awareness, education, and community action,” said Cole Stutz, Chief Safety Officer at Hyundai Motor North America.
Research from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) highlights that proper car seat use is the most effective way to prevent injuries in crashes, yet many parents struggle with access to appropriate seats and installation guidance.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, the lead organization for the Miami-Dade County SAFE KIDS Coalition, installs and checks around 225 car seats annually, while also educating over 500 caregivers on child passenger safety.
Since partnering with Hyundai Hope in 2024, the hospital has conducted over 100 additional car seat checks each year.

“Thanks to Hyundai’s continued support, we can help more families ensure their children are safe on the road,” said Malvina Duncan, community outreach injury prevention coordinator.
Located in South Florida, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is a nonprofit specializing in pediatric care, serving nearly 70% of the Miami market.
Hyundai Hope, Hyundai’s corporate social responsibility program, focuses on supporting health and safety initiatives nationwide. For more information, visit www.nicklauschildrens.org or www.hyundaihope.com.
