Hyundai Motor Group has expanded its collaboration with Google Maps Platform to deliver advanced navigation and infotainment features. Starting with Kia vehicles in North America, Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis drivers will gain access to detailed data on 250 million global locations, powered by Google’s Places API.
This partnership integrates Google Maps’ extensive information—such as business hours, reviews, and ratings—into Hyundai vehicles, enhancing navigation accuracy and user convenience.

It also builds on the Group’s adoption of the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS), cementing its focus on software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and future mobility innovation.
Chang Song, President of Hyundai’s Advanced Vehicle Platform Division, highlighted the customer-centered benefits of this partnership, while Google Maps’ Jorgen Behrens emphasized the power of real-time updates and comprehensive place data in empowering drivers.
This collaboration underscores Hyundai’s commitment to evolving its software capabilities, positioning itself at the forefront of next-generation vehicle technology.
