Honda’s Key Announcements and Innovations at CES 2025 Press Conference.

ASIMO OS and Level 3 Automation

ASIMO OS powers the 0 Series’ ability to adapt, evolve, and provide “ultra-personal optimization.” Building on Honda’s 2021 milestone of Level 3 “eyes-off” driving automation, the system enhances safety and comfort by analyzing surroundings with deep learning and AI, enabling vehicles to navigate complex traffic scenarios and avoid obstacles seamlessly.

Honda is collaborating with Helm.ai to refine these capabilities, including abstract recognition of environments, ensuring reliable AD performance even in challenging conditions.

Next-Gen SoC Collaboration with Renesas

To meet the immense processing demands of future Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs), Honda has partnered with Renesas to co-develop cutting-edge System on Chip (SoC) technology. By 2030, their SoC aims to achieve 2000 TOPS in AI performance while maintaining industry-leading power efficiency, enabling seamless integration of AD, dynamics, and energy management.

Charging Ecosystem and Energy Innovations

Honda is addressing charging challenges through the IONNA network, a joint venture targeting 30,000 high-quality charging points by 2030. Compatible with J3400 and NACS connectors, 0 Series vehicles will access over 100,000 public fast chargers. Home charging solutions, developed with Emporia, leverage bi-directional technology to reduce costs and optimize renewable energy use. The fleet’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) capability will also support grid stability.

A New Era of EVs

The Honda 0 Series redefines mobility, blending advanced AI with human-centric design. By offering personalized, continuously evolving vehicle experiences, Honda aims to transform EVs into trusted partners for drivers, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
