In October, American Honda recorded total sales of 110,346 units, a 2.1% increase year-over-year despite supply constraints affecting several key models.
The Honda brand alone saw nearly 100,000 units sold (+2.6%), with strong performance in light trucks and electrified models across both Honda and Acura brands.

Honda’s October sales brought the brand’s annual total over 1 million units, surpassing this milestone a month earlier than in 2023. Electrified vehicle sales exceeded 30,000 units, driven by high demand for hybrid models.

The CR-V and Accord models both had a hybrid mix exceeding 50%, with the Civic hybrid contributing 26% of its model’s sales. Prologue, Honda’s all-electric SUV, continues to build momentum with over 4,100 units sold.
- CR-V: Over 30,000 units sold in October, with 52% as hybrids.
- Pilot: Sales reached 11,927, maintaining its top spot in the segment and up 27% year-to-date.
- HR-V: Sales reached 11,512, marking a 28% increase in 2024, with consistent monthly sales above 10,000 units.
- Odyssey: Remained the top-seller in its segment with 6,041 units sold.
- Civic: Recorded over 16,500 sales, with hybrids making up 26%.
- Accord: Hybrid versions accounted for 54% of October sales.
Acura Highlights
The Acura brand achieved 10,847 sales in October, with SUV sales up 12% despite lean inventory as some models transition to the 2025 lineup.
- RDX: Sales climbed to 3,719 units, up 14% year-to-date.
- MDX: Achieved 3,904 units (+7%), with premium trims such as Type S and A-Spec models making up over 10% of sales.
- ZDX: Acura’s all-electric SUV had a record month with 1,212 units sold, marking its best sales performance since launch, with Type S representing around 20% of ZDX sales.
- Sedans: Despite limited supply, Acura sedans topped 2,000 units, with the Integra capturing over half of sales in its class.
Year-to-Date Overview
Honda’s year-to-date total reached 1,166,841 units (+8.2%), with cars down 1.3% but trucks up by 13.2%, reflecting continued strong demand for SUVs, hybrids, and electric vehicles. The Acura brand is also maintaining growth, with SUV models leading the charge despite supply challenges.
