American Honda has partnered with global logistics leader Maersk to open a new 150,000-square-foot distribution center in Phoenix, Arizona. This facility will bolster Honda’s Powersports and Products division, enhancing service to its dealer network in the Southwestern United States.
The Phoenix center will handle warehousing and distribution for a variety of recreational, utility, and outdoor equipment. This move relocates Honda’s distribution operations from the Los Angeles area to better serve regional dealers. “Phoenix offers us excellent proximity to our dealer network, which enhances our ability to serve customers more efficiently,” said John Stevens, Director of Powersports Sales Operations at American Honda. “Maersk’s deep knowledge of our business and rapid execution in establishing the new location has helped us drive forward on key aspects of our regional business strategy.”

Maersk’s Contract Logistics Team activated the Phoenix site within 90 days of the contract award in December 2023. Operations began in March 2024, providing a range of services including distribution coordination, return management, light assembly, and quality control.

The Phoenix distribution center is Maersk’s third facility supporting Honda’s needs, joining sites in Shreveport, Louisiana, established in 2011, and Kansas City, Missouri, opened in 2020.
