Starting in June 2025, Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX owners in the U.S. will gain access to more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers, thanks to a new Honda-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter.
Designed and tested specifically for compatibility and safety with these electric models, the adapter is the only one approved by Honda and will be available for purchase at authorized Honda and Acura dealerships beginning in June 2024, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.

This move significantly expands fast-charging options for Honda and Acura EV drivers by integrating Tesla’s Supercharger network into an already robust lineup of supported networks, including EVgo, Electrify America, and the upcoming IONNA charging network. By 2030, Honda aims to offer its EV customers access to around 100,000 fast-charging points across North America.

“Our goal is to offer the most seamless, reliable, and convenient charging experience for our EV customers,” said Ryan Harty, assistant VP of Sustainability & Business Development at American Honda. “This milestone with Tesla Superchargers is a big step toward that vision.”
Owners will be notified via the HondaLink® and Acura EV apps when the adapter becomes available, with app integration also allowing users to locate Supercharger stations.

Honda strongly recommends using only the approved adapter, as damage from unauthorized ones may not be covered under the vehicle’s warranty—an important consideration given Tesla’s own requirements.
The move comes as Honda continues to expand its electrified lineup, with the all-electric Prologue SUV and the Acura ZDX leading the charge.

Honda’s broader efforts also include its online home electrification platforms—Honda HHE and Acura AHE—which help customers set up home charging and explore additional energy-saving options like solar panels and smart home energy systems.
With the addition of Tesla Supercharger access and the support of official adapters, Honda and Acura are reinforcing their commitment to making EV ownership easier, more accessible, and more reliable than ever.
