TV chef Gordon Ramsay has let a young fan take the wheel of his £4m Ferrari.

A video of the moment was captured outside of Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Mayfair, London, on Monday (17 February).

Josh Scoot, a supercar fanatic, made his way into the capital after seeing online that Gordon was visiting his restaurant with his Ferrari Daytona SP3.

“I got the heads up Gordon Ramsey was spotted in London driving his new Ferrari,” Josh, 23, from Bedfordshire, England, told Luxury Auto News.

“It has a price tag of £4million and it’s the first time he’s driven it in public since it was delivered to Ferrari Hatfield back in June 2023.

“I jumped up on the quickest train to London to try and capture this car for my social media, which I’ve been lucky enough to spot some of his other vehicles before.”

The 23-year-old, who goes by (@scootsupercars ) on Instagram, has over 150,000 followers and his video of the sweet moment gathered 590,000 views.

He said: “I got to see it parked up outside his restaurant before him coming out to a lot of fans of the car.

“But more importantly a young lad who got to sit in the SP3, start up the car and even rev it.

“I then found out that Gordon was actually cooking for quite a lot of celebrities to celebrate F1 launch week and its 75 anniversary.

“Some of the guests were Bernie Ecclestone, Fernando Alonso, David Coulthard, Christian Horner, Mika Hakkinen and Nigel Mansell.”

In the clip, fans can be seen surrounding the car and the entrance to the restaurant.

Ramsay then steps out and unlocks the vehicle.

He can then be heard saying: “Do you wanna get inside?” to a young boy, who replies: “Yes, please.”

Gordon opens the door and tells him to “jump in,” before getting in beside him and letting the lucky lad rev the engine.

The car makes huge revving sounds and smoke can be seen coming from the back of the vehicle.

The two then get back out of the car before the chef shuts the car door, locks it and takes a minute to speak to his fans.

The video has since gained over 35,000 likes and hundreds of comments from fans.

One person said: “Yeah that’s how supercar owners are supposed to behave. We were all little boys who loved cars when we were younger.”

Gabriel added: “What a legend though.”
