Mobility service provider Free2move has strengthened its electric fleet in Amsterdam with the addition of 50 fully electric Opel Mokka vehicles, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable urban transport across Europe.
The expansion, announced on 16 April, highlights Free2move’s growing presence in the Dutch market and its continued focus on environmentally responsible mobility solutions.
The Opel Mokka electric, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a 100% electric powertrain, joins Free2move’s existing carsharing fleet in the capital, providing an ideal option for both short urban trips and longer drives across the city.

All vehicles are accessible via the Free2move app, which now includes Digital Charging capabilities, allowing users to view station availability, start charging, and end rentals directly within the interface.
Flexible rental options—from per-minute to daily rates—are designed to suit a range of mobility needs. The new integration also expands access to charging stations throughout Amsterdam, enhancing convenience and minimizing parking stress for users.

“As part of our mission to reduce congestion and emissions, we’re excited to bring the Opel Mokka electric to Amsterdam,” said Lotfi Louez, co-CEO of Free2move. “This rollout is a direct response to customer preferences, with 60% favoring this model in recent surveys.
We’re proud to collaborate with Opel to bring forward-thinking, flexible mobility solutions to one of Europe’s most progressive cities.”
Andres van der Kuil, Managing Director at Opel Netherlands, added: “The Opel Mokka electric sets a benchmark in its segment with bold design and advanced tech. We’re pleased to support Free2move in making sustainable transport more accessible.”
Alongside the Opel Mokka electric, Free2move’s Amsterdam fleet includes models like the Peugeot e-208 and Opel Corsa-e, reflecting the company’s broader commitment to offering a range of low-emission vehicles tailored to diverse urban lifestyles.
Free2move, a Stellantis brand, currently serves over six million users worldwide through a mobility ecosystem that includes carsharing, rentals, subscriptions, and parking services—all accessible through a single app.
