Five Iconic Ferraris Set to Fetch £15 Million at Auction

Five of the most sought-after Ferraris ever made are set to be auctioned, with the collection expected to fetch an astounding £15 million. Known in the automotive world as “The Big 5,” these cars are revered, fierce, and exceedingly rare modern supercars.

This illustrious collection includes the 288 GTO, an 80s icon that can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just five seconds. Another standout is the F40, boasting a top speed of 229 mph.

This model has been owned by music legends such as Rod Stewart and Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, as well as radio and television star Chris Evans, F1 ace Nigel Mansell, and the late opera singer Luciano Pavarotti. Both the 288 GTO and F40 are expected to fetch over £3,000,000 each at auction.

Next on the list is the F50, which rolled off the production line for the last time in 1996. This beautiful machine can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and is estimated to sell for over £4,000,000.

The Ferrari Enzo, designed by Ken Okuyama and launched in 2003, is set to be one of the most expensive cars at the event, with an estimated price tag exceeding £4,000,000. This iconic model can reach speeds of up to 218 mph.

Finally, the LaFerrari, the latest and arguably greatest of the Big 5, will also be auctioned with an estimated value of over £4,000,000. This model boasts an exhilarating 0 to 60 mph time of just 2.4 seconds, making it the fastest of the five. Tottenham’s Heung-min Son is among the notable owners of this model.

These cars are part of the Dare To Dream collection and will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in Toronto, Canada, with the event concluding on June 1.

Gord Duff, RM Sotheby’s Global Head of Auctions, commented on the collection: “Miles has consistently selected only the finest examples for the D2D collection, sparing no expense in finding these vehicles—they are in amazing condition, truly museum-quality.
