Turin, Italy – FIAT Professional has officially commenced production of the all-electric E-Ducato at the Atessa plant, marking a major milestone in Stellantis’ transition toward sustainable mobility in the commercial vehicle sector. The E-Ducato is the first electric large van produced by Stellantis, setting a new standard for zero-emission light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Ducato: A Market Leader in Europe
The Ducato continues its dominance across Europe, holding an 11.2%* market share in its segment in the first ten months of 2024. It is the best-selling commercial vehicle in Italy, with a commanding 24%* market share in the large van segment. The Ducato also ranks highly in other key markets:
- France: Second in its segment and Stellantis’ top large van.
- Poland: Second place.
- Spain and Portugal: Third place in its segment.

In the recreational vehicle (RV) sector, the Ducato remains unmatched, supporting 70% of Europe’s RVs. It gained a 5-percentage-point market share increase compared to last year and was named “Best Camper Base Vehicle of the Year” for 2024 by German magazine Promobil—its sixteenth consecutive win.

- 110-kWh battery: A second-generation battery delivering up to 424 km of range (WLTP cycle).

The Atessa plant, established in 1981 near Chieti, Italy, is Europe’s largest light commercial vehicle manufacturing facility. Spanning 1.2 million square meters with a capacity of 1,200 vehicles per day, the facility exports 80% of its production to 75 countries worldwide.
The start of E-Ducato production underscores Atessa’s role as a cornerstone of FIAT Professional’s ecological transition and reaffirms Stellantis’ dedication to Italian manufacturing.
