To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Shaggy’s global hit “Boombastic,” Fiat has teamed up with the Diamond-selling artist on a reimagined version titled “Boombastic (Fantastic),” releasing May 9 via Universal Music.
Directed by Joseph Kahn, the vibrant new music video stars both Shaggy and the all-new Fiat Grande Panda, bringing retro flair and joyful energy to a new generation.
The video also doubles as the inspiration for Fiat’s latest commercial marking 45 years of the Panda, delivering a colorful, playful vision where “Life is Pandastic.”

The spot showcases the Grande Panda’s standout features—spacious interior, compact design, bamboo-inspired dashboard, pixelated front grille, retractable spiral cable, and smooth dual-clutch transmission—offering a fresh take on urban mobility with Italian style and clever sustainability.

The Grande Panda, a compact 3.99-meter “family mover,” is the face of Fiat’s future-forward, accessible design philosophy. Built on a multi-energy platform, it’s tailored for the electric era while channeling ‘80s nostalgia with a modern twist.

Olivier Francois, Fiat CEO, calls the campaign “an uplifting example of disruptive marketing,” pairing a global hit with a global car. Shaggy adds, “This partnership is a celebration of bold style and creative energy.”
