Ferrari introduces two extended warranty services for PHEV models, Warranty Extension Hybrid and Power Hybrid, covering high-voltage battery replacements at the 8th and 16th years.

Ferrari has unveiled two innovative extended warranty services specifically tailored for their plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models, including the SF90 Stradale, SF90 Spider, SF90 XX Stradale, SF90 XX Spider, 296 GTB, and 296 GTS. These new offerings mark a significant first for the company, as they include scheduled replacements of the high-voltage battery (HVB) at the 8th and 16th year of the car’s life.

Named Warranty Extension Hybrid and Power Hybrid, these programmes are designed to maintain the peak performance and excellence of Ferrari’s hybrid sports cars over the long term.

Customers can purchase these packages, which are renewable for periods of two to four years, from any dealer within Ferrari’s official network, irrespective of the vehicle’s production year. Even cars that are no longer covered by the initial three-year factory warranty can benefit from these new services, provided they pass a technical inspection by Ferrari’s dealer personnel.

Currently, Ferrari’s PHEV owners enjoy a five-year warranty on hybrid components. By opting for the Warranty Extension Hybrid programme, they can extend their comprehensive factory-backed warranty to cover the entire vehicle. This extension includes a no-cost replacement of the HVB when the warranty is extended to the eighth year.

On the other hand, the Power Hybrid programme allows clients to extend the factory warranty on all major powertrain components, including those associated with the hybrid system, from the 8th to the 16th year. This also includes a no-cost HVB replacement at the 16th year mark. Both programmes ensure that any replacement HVB will incorporate the latest advancements in battery technology, guaranteeing performance on par with the original component.

These warranty extensions are transferable to any subsequent owner, ensuring continued value and peace of mind. The introduction of these unique services underscores Ferrari’s dedication to providing exceptional after-sales support, solidifying its leadership in the industry.

Ferrari’s new extended warranty offerings are a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, enhancing the ownership experience for their PHEV models.
