A supercharged rally car that featured in Fast and Furious 8 has been snapped up at auction for £88,000.
The 2013 Local Motors Rally Fighter appeared as the hero car in the 2017 movie.
In the film, named The Fate of the Furious, Michelle Rodriguez who plays Letty Ortiz, drives the vehicle on screen.
Teaming up with her on-screen, her husband, Dominic Torreto, played by Vin Diesel, and the crew fight against the film’s villain, Cipher, played by Charlize Theron.
The car became so iconic from the 2017 movie, that it even features in the beloved GTA 5 game with players able to purchase and drive it in the game.
Described as a unique high-performance off-roader, the rally fighter is legal to drive on the road.
The vehicle is kitted out with a supercharged 6.2L Chevy V8 engine that possesses an incredible 556 horsepower.
The motor itself is extremely rare with fewer than 100 ever made and this being the only one modified by Universal Studios themselves.
With just 4,670 miles on the clock at the time of purchase, the new owner has plenty of mileage to play with.
The car is now heading to a new home after being bought for £88,000 at auction, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
The buyer not only got the car but also received a framed movie poster and die-cast model of “Letty’s Rally Fighter”, both signed by actress Michelle Rodriguez.
The auction took place in North Carolina with the car selling on Wednesday (25 Sept)
SBX Cars, who hosted the auction, stated: “Unlike anything else on the road, the street-legal Rally Fighter is an off-road beast and thundering sports car wrapped in a uniquely dazzling design.
“This 2013 model, boasting fewer than 5,000 miles, takes that dazzle to a different level with 1-of-1 movie car status sure to thrill Fast & Furious fans and serious gearheads alike.”
