The all-electric 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ is turning heads not just for its sleek design and dual-motor all-wheel drive setup, but also for its standout in-car audio system—a 19-speaker AKG setup with integrated Dolby Atmos that creates a fully immersive, studio-quality sound experience.
Dolby Atmos, now standard on the OPTIQ, brings multi-dimensional audio into the cabin, allowing drivers and passengers to feel enveloped by their favorite music with exceptional clarity and depth.

This high-fidelity sound system is designed using a 7.1.4 channel layout: seven ear-level speakers, four overhead, and one dedicated subwoofer—mirroring the exact setup used by professional recording studios.
The system was developed through a close partnership between GM and Dolby, ensuring speaker placement and sound tuning align with the artistic intent of music producers and engineers.
As chief engineer John Cockburn explains, this attention to detail stems from Cadillac’s deep roots in the music world. Artists often perform “car checks” in Cadillacs like the Escalade to test how their songs translate outside the studio, making audio quality a top priority.
Cadillac’s advanced infotainment system, powered by OnStar, integrates seamlessly with services like Amazon Music, Spotify, and Hulu, while also offering full support for Atmos playback via standard USB ports—perfect for those studio mixes.
The OPTIQ is the first Cadillac to feature Dolby Atmos, but it won’t be the last. The brand’s entire 2026 EV lineup will support the feature, and models like the 2025 and 2026 VISTIQ will also offer Amazon Music with Dolby Atmos, further cementing Cadillac’s connection to the music industry and in-car entertainment innovation.
