The dopey driver of a £3million Lamborghini got instant karma after revving the engine too much at a set of traffic lights.

The matt grey, 217mph supercar pulled up next to a police van.

But the motorist decided to rev loudly as they waited for the lights to turn green.

But within seconds, the officer driving the force vehicle put his sirens on.

The foolish moment was captured on the camera of a motorbike travelling behind in a one minute and six second video.

It happened on upmarket Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, west London on Tuesday (2 Jul).

The Lamborghini Sian – which can do 0-60mph in just 2.5 seconds – turned left into Harrington Road.

It was followed in by the Met Police van who pulled the driver over, as reported on NeedToKnow.

The force vehicle parked up behind the Lambo before moving in front as the video came to an end.

The Sian model is so expensive because it is the manufacturer’s first ever hybrid car.

It went on sale only two years ago.

Locals were split on whether he should have been pulled over or not.

One, named Jehyson, said: “Meanwhile the criminals are stealing mobile phones elsewhere.”

Another added: “Meanwhile, phone robberies, and knife crime are booming.

“Great job Sadiq and Met.”

Remy fumed: “This is why you can’t enjoy anything in this country.”

Yet a fourth said: “I don’t get what the point of revving a car is.

“Sounds like some boys who haven’t been given attention at home so they seek it elsewhere.”

Konrad added: “Making noise for the sake of making noise?”

The Met Police has been approached for comment.
