David Coulthard’s old 207mph F1 winning McLaren is selling for £1.3m.
The retired race ace, 54, drove the MP4-16 in 2001.
It is one of seven cars designed by Adrian Newey and Neil Oatley for the season.

The motor even has his name David on it.

Coulthard took second and fifth at the San Marino and Spanish GPs before taking victory at the Austrian Grand Prix.
After Coulthard took fifth at the Monaco Grand Prix it was driven to third place at the Canadian Grand Prix by Mika Häkkinen.

It retired from third place at its last outing, the German Grand Prix, with engine issues as reported by Luxury Auto News.
It was kept as a standby car for the rest of the season and retained by McLaren until 2020.

At the wheel of the McLaren MP4-16, the Scot finished runner-up in the standings and trumped Finnish team-mate Mika Häkkinen for his finest season thus far.
Of the 65 points he amassed 24 were earned aboard chassis number 16A-05.

Its listing states: “Then acquired by the consignor, chassis 16A-05 is offered in non-running condition and is presented with a dummy engine for display purposes.
“Otherwise complete, this Grand Prix-winning F1 car would make for a sensational addition to any motorsport-themed collection.”

It is being sold by RM Sotheby’s in Milan with a guide price of up to £13m on 22 May.
