Lexus has once again solidified its reputation as a reliability leader, topping Consumer Reports’ ranking among premium car brands. With a standout score of 65 points out of 100, Lexus not only led the premium segment but also significantly outperformed the market average. Its closest premium competitor trailed by 10 points, reaffirming Lexus’s dominance in durability and dependability.
Consumer Reports, a trusted authority in product evaluations, analyzed data from over 300,000 vehicles spanning model years 2020-2024.

The study assessed 20 critical areas, from minor issues like squeaky brakes to major problems such as engine or battery failures. Lexus’s consistently low fault rates highlight its commitment to high-quality production standards and proven, rigorously tested technologies.
The reliability of Lexus models was a key driver of its success. The NX with a combustion engine scored 77 points, leading the Lexus lineup, while the hybrid NX 350h and ES petrol model followed closely with 76 and 75 points, respectively.
Other strong performers included the hybrid RX (67 points) and the hybrid ES 300h limousine (66 points). These results showcase the brand’s ability to deliver dependable vehicles across a diverse range of models.
Known for advanced manufacturing processes and exceptional craftsmanship, Lexus continues to set the benchmark for reliability in the premium automotive segment. Its hybrids, in particular, offer customers years of trouble-free driving, further enhancing the brand’s reputation for quality and longevity.
