A vintage Aston Martin has been bought at auction for £76,500 – but it needs a bit of TLC.
The 1967 DB6 has been labelled a “stalled restoration project.”
It means, despite the whopping price tag, the new owner will have work to do to return the classic motor to its former glory.

Much of the 145mph car’s bodywork is corroded and needs replacing.
But ‘under the bonnet’ extensive welding and machine work has already been carried out.
The engine is disassembled and re-fitting is all part of the restoration fun.
First introduced at the 1965 Motor Show, the DB6 has a larger interior than its predecessors and enjoyed better speed stability reaching 0-60 mph in just 7.4 seconds.
The 57-year-old classic had an original colour combo of deep carriage green paintwork over a red leather interior.
A spokesperson for the auctioneers who sold the car said: “It is an incredible opportunity for the buyer to build one of the great David Brown-era Astons to their specification.
“The DB6 has had much of the hard work completed and is supplied with a number of invoices and a hoard of extra parts.”
The Aston Martin was snapped up at auction at Pavillion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire, yesterday (24 Jul), as reported by Luxury Auto News.
