The Chevrolet Silverado EV Work Truck has officially topped Edmunds’ list of longest-range electric vehicles, achieving an impressive 539 miles on a full charge—47 miles more than its EPA-estimated 492-mile range.

Edmunds tested the truck under real-world driving conditions (60% city, 40% highway, averaging 40 MPH), and still had 7 miles of range left upon returning to their Santa Monica HQ.

This makes the Silverado EV WT the longest-range EV Edmunds has ever tested, surpassing even other GM electric trucks. The GMC Sierra EV Denali clocked in at 507 miles (EPA: 460), the Silverado EV RST hit 484 miles (EPA: 450), and the GMC Hummer EV reached 390 miles (EPA: 329).

Edmunds attributes the Silverado EV WT’s strong performance to its lighter build and lack of premium features like leather seats or large displays, which are found in the RST and Denali trims and reduce efficiency.

Beyond range, the Silverado EV WT is a serious workhorse. The standard model (starting at $57,095) can tow up to 12,500 pounds with a payload of 1,800 pounds. The Max Range version (starting at $77,795) offers 10,000 pounds of towing and 1,400 pounds of payload, thanks to its larger battery pack.

With these stats, the Silverado EV WT doesn’t just go far—it gets the job done.
