Bugatti and Koenigsegg Designer Teases New Nilu Hypercar

Renowned Designer’s New Hypercar

The talented designer behind iconic cars like the Bugatti Chiron and Koenigsegg Gemera is just months away from unveiling his own hypercar.

Sasha Selipanov, who recently founded the design consultancy Hardline27 in Los Angeles, is set to introduce his new hypercar, the Nilu.

Debut of the Nilu

The Nilu is the debut model from the newly established performance marque Nilu27, with its official reveal scheduled for August 15, during the 2024 Monterey Car Week.

Teaser Video Insights

A short teaser video released over the weekend showcases the car’s exposed rear, featuring a high-mount triple exhaust and massive venturi tunnels. The video also confirms the inclusion of gullwing doors and provides a tantalizing soundbite of the engine’s exhaust note, which suggests a V-8 powerplant.

Focus on Driving Experience

Details about the Nilu are sparse, but it has been highlighted that the designers prioritized the driving experience over “distractions” such as digitalization and electrification. This focus aims to recapture the awe that they believe has been missing in many recent performance cars, including some hypercars.
