Bentley has delivered the third of twelve Speed Six Continuation Series cars, a project that took eight months to complete at Mulliner’s workshop.
The car’s owner, whose passion for Bentley began with a childhood model of a Blower Bentley, has a deep connection to the marque, owning several Crewe-built Bentleys, including a first-generation Continental GT, a GT3R, a Supersports, a Bentayga, and a Continuation Series Blower.

His latest addition, the Speed Six Continuation, carries the number 3—matching his Blower and a jersey number he wore during his rugby career.
Finished in a custom green called ‘Embelo,’ named after the couple’s three daughters, the Speed Six also features a red interior inspired by the owner’s childhood model.

True to Bentley’s commitment to authenticity, the car replicates the original 1930s works racer while incorporating personalized touches, such as a removable silenced exhaust for noise-restricted tracks, a hand-painted Union Flag, and a white patch for pit identification.

The owner was actively involved in the commissioning process, previously working alongside Mulliner craftsmen to fit period-correct fabric on his Blower. While he couldn’t assist with the Speed Six’s build, he plans to use it as intended—driven fast and regularly.

The Speed Six, originally launched in 1928, was a high-performance version of Bentley’s 6½ Litre model, winning Le Mans in 1929 and 1930.
To recreate it, Mulliner Classic meticulously studied two original Speed Six models, including a historic 1930 Le Mans racer, with support from the W.O. Bentley Memorial Foundation, which provided 80% of the original technical drawings.
